Our first pack meeting of the year was held on Tuesday, September 15.
Pack 234 started the year with an exciting model rocket launch, and we
announced our schedule so be sure to check out the new events on
the
calendar page
And, check out the pictures from the meeting on the
photo album.
In October, Pack 234 made blankets for Project Linus.  This program
provides handmade blankets to children who are seriously ill,
traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade
blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” An
annual tradition for Pack 234, our blankets have gone to Nationwide
Children's Hospital and victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Halloween 2009 was a fun time for a group of Cubs in Pack 234 as they
journeyed to Camp Lazarus for an autumn campout! The cool, fall
weather made the trip (and campfire!) very enjoyable. The scouts
enjoyed learning about the game, "Ultimate" (and earned a belt loop for
it), and got to perform many  new skits at the campfire. Later on, they
enjoyed a night hike through the fall woods. Check out more pictures in
the photo album.
The January 2010 Pack Meeting saw the return of a favorite pack
activity where the kids all get to decorate their own cake...with icings,
candies, sprinkles and many other goodies.  Then, the scouts who
made their sales goals with popcorn are rewarded with a cream pie to
toss at the leader of their choice!
