Did You Know?
The Chief Leatherlips
monument located in
Scioto Park was
dedicated on July 1,
1990 to recognize a
Wyandot Indian Chief
who was believed to
have located his hunting
camp on the site. The
white settlers called him
Leatherlips because he
never broke a promise.
